What You Need to Begin

You don't need anything more than what you already have to learn HTML and start creating your own Web pages. All you need is a simple text editor, such as Windows Notepad or SimpleText on the Mac, and a current graphical browser. You don't even need to be connected to the Web to create your own Web pages, although you will need to be connected if you want to publish them. In other words, you don't need to spend a bunch of money on software and you don't need to spend even more money every year and a half to upgrade that software.
