TITLE Attribute | title Property

Sets or retrieves advisory information (a ToolTip) for the object .

Syntax

HTML Scripting
< ELEMENT TITLE = sTitle ... >
object.title [ = sTitle ]

Possible Values

sTitle String that specifies or receives the advisory text.

The property is read/write. The property has no default value.

Expressions can be used in place of the preceding value(s), as of Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5. For more information, see About Dynamic Properties .

Remarks

Microsoft® Internet Explorer renders the title as a ToolTip when the user hovers the mouse over the object.

Example

This example uses the title property to display advisory text when the user hovers the mouse pointer over the text.
